At an event as delicious as it was sustainable, CARNE, the renowned burger chain of Argentine chef Mauro Colagreco, added a new ingredient to its offering: the creative recycling of beer bottles. To celebrate, the brand hosted a launch event in the heart of San Telmo, Buenos Aires, where Green Glass took center stage.

Who Is Mauro Colagreco?

Mauro Colagreco is the Argentine chef behind Mirazur, his restaurant in Menton, on the French Riviera. In 2019 Mirazur earned its third Michelin star, making Colagreco the first Latin American chef to reach that distinction, and that same year it was named the best restaurant in the world by The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. In Argentina, he also founded CARNE, a burger chain.

A Partnership Between Signature Flavor and Conscious Design

CARNE, founded by chef Mauro Colagreco, winner of three Michelin stars and considered one of the best chefs in the world, reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability by partnering with Green Glass, a leader in recycled glass design in Argentina.

For this occasion, the beer bottles consumed at CARNE were recycled by hand to create unique recycled glass cups. And that’s not all: every glass handed out at the event was a personalized work of art.

Eli Moreno and Lanchi: Live Art and Environmental Awareness

During the event, artist Eli Moreno personalized the recycled glasses live for the guests. With her freehand engraving technique, she turned each piece into an exclusive experience, adding names, phrases and unique details for every diner.

Meanwhile, the artist Lanchi shared with the guests the handcrafted process behind each recycled glass: from choosing the bottles to cutting, polishing and personalizing them, all the way to the final design. A creative journey that celebrates recycling as an art form.

Meeting Mauro Colagreco: The Flavor of Simplicity, the Value of the Timeless

One of the most moving moments of the event was when Eli and Lanchi met Mauro Colagreco in person. He was enthusiastic about the project and grateful for the artistic and sustainable contribution of Green Glass.

“Sustainability is part of the cuisine of the future, and partnerships like this one prove it,” said the chef.

In a relaxed atmosphere, the artists shared burgers, engraved glasses and an inspiring conversation about design, recycling and purposeful gastronomy.

When Art Meets Sustainable Gastronomy

The collaboration between CARNE and Green Glass shows that it is possible to raise environmental awareness without giving up design, style or flavor.

This event in San Telmo not only introduced a new line of recycled glasses; it marked a milestone: the union of haute cuisine, handcrafted art and ecological commitment, in an experience set to be repeated at future CARNE openings across the country.
